e
are Florida's top
code educators, with offices in Orlando
and Tampa. In addition to mandatory
Florida Building Code
training, which includes the core course and advanced module
training, BRB also offers a great diversity of seminars to the construction
industry and custom designs courses to a wide variety of audiences
from
code officials to contractors, architects and designers, and engineers.
Why choose BRB for your code training?
- BRB is an approved provider by the State of Florida.
BRB is an approved State of Florida Provider. Construction
Industry Licensing Board (CILB # 0001728) and the Florida
Board of Architects and Interior Design (BOAID # 0008128)
- BRB provides training specifically on the 2004 Florida
Codes.
Although the 2004 Florida Codes were developed using the 2003
International Codes, there are many Florida specific modifications.
Training classes based solely on the 2003 International Codes
will
not cover these important Florida code requirements.
- BRB's instructors are technically qualified and experienced
in the Florida Codes.
We have been conducting training seminars on the Florida
Building Code since 2001 and have trained over 6,000 Florida
licensed construction professionals. Our instructors have been
directly involved in the Florida Building Code development
process
and continue to attend and participate at every Florida
Building
Commission meeting to keep up to date with the latest
Florida
code information. Additionally, we also participate in the
International Code Council code development process. This
allows us to keep ahead of potential changes that may affect
Florida.
- BRB encourages questions and discussions at training
sessions.
Nothing is worse than attending a seminar where the
instructor
reads each slide in a monotone voice and downplays questions.
We encourage discussions in order to get to topics that are of
interest to the audience. If we do not have an immediate answer,
we'll get one from our network of code subject experts.
- BRB sponsored classes include handouts of the course
material.
Although other course providers have limited handouts, BRB
sponsored classes include complete course materials which
aid in discussions and serve as future reference material.
- BRB provides a Certificate of Completion at the end of
the course.
We provide a Certificate of Completion at the end of each
course and enter attendee information in the applicable
licensing board database.
- BRB training classes are well received.
BRB has been offering Florida Code Training since 2001
to a wide range of private and public clients. Our evaluations
are 98% "very good to excellent" ratings. We
take particular
pride in the accuracy, presentation methods and overall quality
of our work.
ost
of our classes use two instructors - experts who helped
develop the new Florida Building Code. Check our Courses
link
for class times and registration. BRB will also custom design
courses and will teach at a host's site.
